  Edith Charlton, 51, of Stoystown RD 2, died Feb. 3, 1995, at Windber
  Hospice.  Born Dec. 3, 1943, in Hooversville, daughter of Dominick and Mary
  Esther (Koteless) Retassie.  Preceded in death by parents; granddaughter,
  Jessica Lynn.  Survived by husband of 34 years, Thomas Richard Charlton,
  and these children: Thomas R. Jr., married to former Sheila Emeigh, and
  Darrin, married to former Christine Johnson, both of Stoystown RD 2, and
  Deborah, married to Harold Custer, Central City; grandchildren: Bradley
  Justin and Alexander Nikolas Charlton, and Brett Harold Custer.  Sister of
  Leonard Jerin, Ohio; Ernest Jerin, Hooversville; Nora Jerin, Boswell;
  Dominick Retassie, Friedens; Sally Toma and Mary Tortora, both of
  Connecticut; Jerry Retassie, Hooversville, and Geno Retassie,
  Davidsville.  Employed by Gilmour Manufacturing, Somerset.
