  CHARLTON
  
  Robert E. Charlton Sr., 65, of Friedens RD 1 died April 23, 1995, at
  Somerset Hospital.  Born July 15, 1929, in Acosta.  Son of Paul and Lillie
  (Dove) Charlton.  Preceded in death by parents; brothers Jason, Richard and
  Donald.  Survived by his wife of 38 years, the former Amalie Ihle; sons,
  Robert Jr., married to the former Betty Baker, Boswell RD 2; Paul, Friedens
  RD 1; and Jeff, Stoystown RD 1.  Grandchildren: Courtney, Amanda and
  Andrew.  Also sisters, Catherine Isgan and Virginia Yoder, both of
  Somerset.  Retired Army veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars.  Also
  retired from the dietary department of Somerset Hospital.  Member of Robert
  P. Hite Post 257, American Legion, Stoystown, and Somerset VFW.  Life member
  of Jenner Rod and Gun Club.  Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7
  to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will be
  held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, the Rev. Paul E. Claycomb officiating. 
  Interment, Odd Fellows Cemetery, Stoystown.  Legion service at 8 p.m.
  Tuesday.
