  Brantly C. Cheek Jr., 69, of Hillcrest Manor, Friedens, died April 15,
  1998, at home.  Born Aug. 27, 1928, in Smithville, Miss.  Son of Brantly
  Sr. and Thelma Cheek.  Preceded in death by parents and brother Donald. 
  Survived by sons: David of Boswell, Stephen, married to the former Michelle
  Maust, Baltimore, Md., and Brian, married to the former Lora Evans,
  Columbia, Md.  Grandsons: Ian and Logan Cheek.  Brother of Carl of
  Savannah, Ga.; Alfred of Mt. Vernon, Ga., and Terry of Fort Valley, Ga. 
  Member of Hooversville Post 7565, VFW.  Retired U.S. Air Force veteran. 
  Friends received from 9:30 a.m. until time of memorial service at 10 a.m.
  Saturday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, Rev. Father Blase
  Wegierski, OFM Conv.  Cremation, St. Clair Crematory, Greensburg.
