  Helen F. (Shubik) Cheek, 69, of Main Street, Boswell, died unexpectedly
  March 25, 1999, at home.  Born May 30, 1929, in Cleveland, Ohio.  Daughter
  of Andrew, "Mooney" and Frances (Szewczyk) Shubik.  Preceded in death by
  father on Aug. 27, 1965.  Survived by mother of Boswell, sons: David, at
  home; Stephen, married to the former Michelle Maust, of Baltimore, Md., and
  Brian, married to the former Lora Evans, Columbia, Md.  Grandsons Ian and
  Logan Cheek, aunts and uncles Thadeus "Butch", Walter, Mary, Kathryn, and
  Joan Sheftic and special cousins Mary Lee Sheftic, Mary Jane Cavallo, and
  Jo Kubas.  Member of All Saints Catholic Parish.  Graduate of the former
  Boswell High School Class of 1947.  Attended Millersville State Teachers
  College.  Navy veteran of the Korean War.  Caseworker for Somerset County
  Energy Assistance Office.  Avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, having attended
  all four Steeler Super Bowl victories.  Friends received from noon to 4 and
  7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, where
  vigil for the deceased will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday.  Funeral Mass at 10
  a.m. Monday at All Saints Church, Boswell, Rev. Father Martin Breski, OFM
  Conv., celebrant.  Interment, St. Stanislaus Cemetery.  Memorial
  contributions may be sent to the charity of your choice.
