Born May 19, 1938, in Greensburg, a son of Edward N. and Mildred Bailey Chellman of New Stanton RD 1. He was a retired captain from the U.S. Air Force, having served in the United States and Vietnam with 20 years' service. He was a marksmanship instructor for the U.S. Air Force in San Antonio, Texas. He was a member of the Downtown United Methodist Church of Madison, LOOM 1746 of Hawthorne, Calif., lifetime member of the VFW Post 781 of Irwin, and the White Oak Rod and Gun Club. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Ruth Beck Chellman, formerly of Rockwood RD 1; a daughter, Melanie Chellman of Penn State College of Medicine, Hershey; three brothers: Warren R. Chellman of Pleasant Hills, Marvin G. and Alva C. Chellman, both of Ruffsdale RD 2, and a sister, Eileen Chellman Billey, Esquire, of New Stanton RD 1. Friends will be received at the Beatty-Rich Funeral Home Inc., Madison, Pa., Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Additional viewing in the Downtown United Methodist Church, Madison, Friday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., the hour of service, with the Rev.
