He was born Nov. 3, 1913, in Hyndman, son of Banner and Anna (Crosby) Chisholm. He was preceded in death by sisters, Mrs. Anna Cowan and Mrs. Evelyn Wright. Area resident for past 61 years. He is survived by his loving wife, former Mary Blank, to whom he was married 44 years. He was a brother of Rhoda Tucker, Lisbon, Ohio; Joseph, Dagsboro, Del.; and Roy, Hooversville; also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was an Army ETO veteran of World War II. 1970 retiree of Sears; member of Johnstown Post 155, VFW; Somerset Lodge 358, F. & A.M.; and Trinity Lutheran Church, Hooversville. He was a life member of Hooversville Sportsmen's Association. Friends were received from 10 a.m to 9 p.m. at Thomas P. Read Funeral Home.
