Chitester, 59, Somerset RD 5, died Dec. 12, 1987, in Somerset Community Hospital. Born Nov. 11, 1928, in Brookville, son of Mastic (Swineford) Chitester of Brookville, and the late Stanley Robert Chitester. Survived by his wife, the former Carol Joanne Fitzsimmons; and these children: Willard E., Leeper, Pa.; David A., Somerset; Miss Kelly A., and Miss Robin S., both at home; five grandchildren: Keri, Kasey, Jarred, David Jr. and Seth Chitester. Brother of: Mrs. James (Marion) Lettie, Hermitage, Pa.; Eugene, and Mrs. Bernard (Dorothy) Drayer, both of Brookville. Minister of the Somerset Circuit United Methodist Church, including the Beulah, Husband, Mostoller and Pleasant Hill congregations since July, 1986. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Monday and from 2 to 4:30 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Donald C. Galbraith Funeral Home, Brookville. Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church, Brookville, with the Rev. Neal K. Rogers officiating. Interment, Knoxville Cemetery. Viewing at the church from 12:30 p.m. until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to: Somerset Hospital "In Touch" Hospice Care Unit or the American Cancer Society.
