All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ ________________________________________________ ADA FLORENCE CHRISTNER Mrs. Ada Florence Christner, born Aug. 18, 1850, in Garrett County, Md., died May 5, 1944, at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Lindeman, of Meyersdale, at the age of 93 years, 8 months and 17 days. Mrs. Christner was a daughter of Peter and Rachael Newman Wagner. Her husband was Samuel J. Christner who died six years ago. She is survived by three sons and three daughters, namely, Hattie, wife of William Corley of Boynton; Mrs. Mae Peck of Waterloo, Iowa; Florence, wife of Ray Lindeman, Meyersdale; George, of Ypsilanti, Mich.; Irvin, of Huntingdon, Pa., and Clyde, of Johnstown. Prior to the funeral, Mrs. Christner's body was taken to the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Corley in Boynton, and from there to the St. Paul Evangelical and Reformed Church at the village of St. Paul, where funeral services were conducted last Sunday by Rev. Ira S. Monn. Interment was in the church cemetery near by, under the direction of Mortician Stanley M. Thomas of Salisbury. Meyersdale Republican, May 11, 1944
