Christner, 62, Salisbury RD 1, died April 6, 1985, Cumberland Memorial Hospital. Born May 18, 1922, in Boynton, son of the late Hubert Christner and Florence (Brown) Christner of Boynton. Besides his father, also preceded in death by two brothers, Paul J. and Everett F. Also survived by his wife, the former Emogen Thomas; one son, Thomas E. Christner, Baltimore, Md.; a daughter, Mrs. Gloria A. Morrell of Pylesville, Md.; four grandchildren; and three sisters: Mrs. Kathleen Gutowski of Moscow, Pa.; Mrs. Irene Ludy, Glencoe; and Mrs. Janet Wahl, Salisbury. He was a retired employee of Baltimore City Transit and Traffic. A veteran of World War II. Friends will be received Monday (today) 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury, where funeral services will be held Tuesday 2 p.m. with the Rev. DeWayne Johnson officiating.
