Christner, 87, Phoenix, Ariz., died Aug. 15, 2008, at her home. She was born in 1921, in Brothersvalley Township, the daughter of the late Charles and Melda (Pritts) Custer. Preceded in death by her husband, Albert Paul Christner; brothers, Robert and Roy Custer; sisters-in-law, Fern and Pat Custer; brother in- law, John Thomas. Survived by daughters, Jean C. Morrisey, Ava, Mo.; Marilyn C. Bloxham, Phoenix, Ariz.; 12 grandchildren; brothers, Dale, Paul and Lynn Custer, all of Berlin; Donald Custer, Harrisonburg, Va.; sisters, Mrs. John (Betty) Thomas, Elkton, Md.; Mrs. John (Alma) Kurtz, Lucas, Ohio; sisters- in-law, Carol, Etta, Bernice and Rose Ann Custer. Moving to Dover, she became a member of the Pentecostal Church. She worked for years at the ILC Factory in Dover, during that time, she was a supervisor for the Space Engineering Division on the fitting and sewing of the first "space suits" for the astronauts that walked on the moon. After retirement, the family moved to Arizona. No viewing or visitation. Arrangements by the Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin. Her ashes will be placed beside her loving husband, Paul, in the Berlin Cemetery
