Christner, 98, 120 Mineral St., Salisbury, formerly of Boynton, died May 16, 1998, at her residence. Born Dec. 2, 1899, in Summit Township, she was a daughter of the late John and Amanda (Murray) Brown. Also preceded in death by husband, Hubert E. Christner, March 15, 1971; 3 sons, Paul, Earl and Everett; 3 grandchildren; 1 great- grandchild; 4 brothers, Maurice, Frank, Lloyd and Will Brown; and 3 sisters, Martha Miller, Ella Winters and Annie Marteney. Surviving are 3 daughters: Kathleen Gutowski and husband, William, Moscow, Pa.; Irene Ludy and husband, Harry, Glencoe; Janet Wahl and husband, Ray, Jr. "Tex", Salisbury, with whom she resided; 2 daughters-in-law, Emogen Christner and Kathleen Christner, both of Salisbury; a brother, Clarence Brown and a sister, Elizabeth Blocher, both of Salisbury; 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Christner was a charter member of Cornerstone Assembly of God, Boynton and was a homemaker. Friends received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Monday at the Newman Funeral Home Inc., Salisbury, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday, with the Rev. Gary L. Kipe officiating.
