All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ ________________________________________________ HENRIETTA CHRISTNER Mrs. Henrietta Christner, wife of Calvin Christner of Larimer Township, died in the Wenzel Hospital, Meyersdale, Feb. 25, 1942, at the age of 72 years and 3 days. Her death was caused by pneumonia. She was a daughter of Jeremiah and Louise Patton Miller. Her father was a well-known veteran of the Civil War, and at one time a resident of Salisbury. Mrs. Christner was twice married. Her first marriage made her the second wife of the late John Mort, a resident of Salisbury, who preceded her in death within the last decade, and she became the wife of her second husband six years ago. In addition to her second husband, she is survived by one brother and three sisters, namely, William Miller of Canton, O.; Elmira, wife of Edward Shoemaker of Meyersdale; Hattie, widow of the late Lincoln Folk, and Mrs. Isabel Geisbert of Summit Township. Funeral services were held at St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church, Salisbury, last Saturday at 2:30 p.m. Rev. J. E. Gindlesperger of Meyersdale was the officiating clergyman. Interment was in the Salisbury I.O.O.F. Cemetery, under the direction of Stanley M. Thomas, Salisbury mortician. Meyersdale Republican, March 5, 1942
