  KARL J. CHRISTNER
  
    Karl J. Christner, 68, Meyersdale RD 1, died September 4 in his home.
    Born July 14, 1899, in Meyersdale, he was a son of the late Urias and
  Sevilla (Coleman) Christner.
    He is survived by his wife, the former Gladys Miller, and three
  daughters: Mrs. Hilda Fink and Mrs. Anna Bertha Adams, both of Somerset:
  and Mrs. Bette Firl, Meyersdale RD 2; also 16 grandchildren.
    Four stepchildren also survive: Mrs. Ella Herak, Prospect Heights, Ill.;
  Zelma, wife of Francis Bittner Jr., Meyersdale RD 2; Mrs. Joanne Jrocano,
  Cleveland; and Clyde W. Hillegas, Edmons, Wash.
    He was a brother of Orlan Christner and Mrs. Ula Kapphan, both of
  Pittsburgh; Steward A., MacMurray (Pa.); Urie of Coraopolis; Paul J.,
  Meyersdale RD 3; Mrs. Freda Forrest, Meyersdale; and Mrs. Lucy C. Wright,
  Frostburg RD 2.
    Funeral service was held at Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, on Wednesday
  morning, with Rev. William Snell officiating. Interment was made in
  Greenville Lutheran Cemetery.
