  CHRISTNER
  
  Kathryn "Kats" Christner, 82, of Berlin, died July 18, 2003 at Somerset
  Hospital.  Born Jan 15, 1921 in Cessna, Bedford County, the daughter of
  D.R. and Emma (Fisher) Bowser.  Preceded in death by her parents; daughter
  Susan; an infant grandson; sisters, Helen Cameron and Evelyn Schrock;
  brothers, Buck and Jack Bowser.  Survived by her husband of 55 years,
  Alfred "Boots" Christner; daughter, Beverly married to Dr. Doug Anderson,
  Tucson, Ariz.; son David and wife, Linda, Barto, Fla.; seven grandchildren;
  numerous great-grandchildren; a brother, Bill Bowser, Chambersburg and
  sisters, Mary Leecy, Cumberland, Joan Bush, Berlin and Kay Sweitzer,
  Meyersdale RD.  She was the owner of the former B&C Diner, Berlin.  Member
  of the Berlin Brethren Church; Berlin VFW auxiliary; Order of Eastern Star,
  Sewickley; graduate of the Berlin-Brothersvalley High School and was an avid
  painter.  Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at
  Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin where a service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday
  with Rev. Eugene Oburn officiating.  Interment, Berlin IOOF Cemetery.
