Born Jan 15, 1921 in Cessna, Bedford County, the daughter of D.R. and Emma (Fisher) Bowser. Preceded in death by her parents; daughter Susan; an infant grandson; sisters, Helen Cameron and Evelyn Schrock; brothers, Buck and Jack Bowser. Survived by her husband of 55 years, Alfred "Boots" Christner; daughter, Beverly married to Dr. Doug Anderson, Tucson, Ariz.; son David and wife, Linda, Barto, Fla.; seven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; a brother, Bill Bowser, Chambersburg and sisters, Mary Leecy, Cumberland, Joan Bush, Berlin and Kay Sweitzer, Meyersdale RD. She was the owner of the former B&C Diner, Berlin. Member of the Berlin Brethren Church; Berlin VFW auxiliary; Order of Eastern Star, Sewickley; graduate of the Berlin-Brothersvalley High School and was an avid painter. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin where a service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday with Rev. Eugene Oburn officiating.
