Christner, 80, Pittsburgh, died Jan. 25, 2008. Born Dec. 31, 1927, in Stoney Creek, the daughter of Robert and Edith Martin Weaver. Preceding her in death are her parents; and one brother, Lewis Weaver. Surviving are her husband, Howard W. Christner, whom she married on Dec. 27, 1954; her daughter, Carol Christner, Saxonburg; three brothers, Ernest Weaver, Sebastian, Fla.; Vernon Weaver, Altoona; Sheldon Weaver, Indiana; two sisters, Nancy Gorman, Somerset; and Esther (Richard) Bailey, Burford, Ga. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Glenshaw. She worked as a nurse for West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was a volunteer at St. Margaret Hospital for 25 years and president of the woman's board. She was also involved with Lifeline at St. Margaret. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Fox Funeral Home Inc., 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg, where a service will be held 10 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Anthony Schneck officiating. Interment will follow in Somerset County Memorial Park.
