  Phillip Christner, 64, of Confluence, formerly Somerset, died Jan. 21, 2000
  at Somerset Hospital.  Born Dec. 19, 1935 in Somerset, he is the son of the
  late Janet (Christner) Sloan.  Also preceded in death by a sister Judy. 
  Survived by an uncle, John Christner of Somerset.  Friends received from
  noon until the time of service at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Robert H. Halverson
  Funeral Home, Rev. Jay L. Christner officiating.  Interment, Somerset
  County Memorial Park.
