  CHRISTNER
  
  Ralph Christner, 88, Akron, Ohio, formerly of Meyersdale RD 1, died March
  16, 1985, in Cuyahoga Falls, (Ohio) General Hospital.  Born Feb. 27, 1897,
  in Rockwood, son of late Rufus and Susan (Marker) Christner.  Preceded in
  death by wife, former Sadie A. Yoder, and daughter, Betty.  Survived by
  three sons: Ray S., Jack A. and James C., all of Akron, Ohio; two
  daughters: Mrs. Eva M. Hotchkiss, Mogadore, Ohio; and Mrs. Janet R. Gilpin,
  Akron, Ohio; sister, Mrs. Vila Silvrants, Denver, Colo.; also 18
  grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.  Retired coal miner.  Veteran of
  World War I. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday (today)
  at Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury, where service will be held at 2 p.m.
  Tuesday, the Rev. Elam C. Bender officiating.  Interment, St. Paul Cemetery.
