He was preceded in death by his wife Susan (Marker) Christner and a son James. The following children survive: Foster, El Paso, Texas; Mrs. Allan Halley, Denver, Colo.; Ralph of St. Paul and Bruce at home. A sister, Mrs. William Wetzell of Omaha, Neb., and a brother, Jonas Christner of Ferrington, Wyo., also survive. Services were held Oct. 4, at the Konhaus Funeral Home, Meyersdale, in charge of Rev. A. J. Replogle. Interment at Center Church. Mr. Christner was a member of the (Dunkard) Brethren Church. He was in good health until about a week before his death and kept his keen mind until he died. He was a quiet man much admired by the neighboring children and will be greatly missed by them.
