SARAH CHRISTNER

  Mrs. Sarah (Gauntz) Seibert-Christner, 65, died last Thursday evening at the 
home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Lee of Keystone Street.  She had been ill for 
several months.  A daughter of Levi and Caroline (Hoffman) Gauntz, Mrs. 
Christner was born on February 12, 1876.
  Surviving are her aged father, who resides here, and these children: Edward 
Seibert, Salisbury; Mrs. Joseph Romesburg, Meyersdale, and Mrs. Lee, mentioned.  
She was a sister of Joseph W. and Edward Gauntz, both of Meyersdale; Albert C. 
Gauntz, Garrett; William H. Gauntz, Meyersdale; Earl Gauntz, Cumberland, Md., 
and Walter Gauntz, Meyersdale.  Mrs. Christner was twice married, both of her 
husbands preceding her in death.
  Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon.  A brief service was held at 
the Lee home at 1 o'clock, followed by services at 1:30 o'clock in the Zion 
Lutheran Church, by Rev. Howard K. Hilner.  Interment was in the Lichty 
Cemetery, Summit Township, under the direction of H. R. Konhaus, Meyersdale 
mortician.
