  WINIFRED J. RISTNER
  
  Winifred J. Christner, 77, Somerset, died May 9, 1980, at Somerset
  Community Hospital.
    She was born Feb. 3, 1903, in Somerset, daughter of the late Frank and
  Harriet (Koontz) Bird.  She was preceded in death by husband, Melvin, two
  daughters, one son and two brothers.  She is survived by these children:
  Joan, wife of George A. Durst, Somerset; and David, South Gate, Calif.  She
  is also survived by six grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren.  She was a
  sister of Miss Sarah Bird, Maple Mountain Manor, Berlin, a member of the
  First United Methodist Church where funeral services were held with the
  Rev. John C. Cox officiating.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. 
  Funeral arrangements under the direction of the Richard E. Hauger Funeral
  Nome.
