Chuba, 89, Siemon's Lakeview Manor Estate, died Sept. 21, 1998, at Somerset Hospital. Born Feb. 22, 1909, in Johnstown, son of the late Joseph and Theressa (Reambar) Chuba. Preceded in death by wife, Elizabeth, in 1986; son, Edward, son-in-law, Joseph Maslak, three brothers and three sisters. Survived by daughters: Mary Joan Maslak, Indian Lake; and Mrs. Steven (Barbara) Sabo, Country Lakes, N.J.; also eight grandsons and 15 great-grandchildren. Brother of: Val Chuba, Westmont; Mrs. John (Betty) Peterchak, Johnstown; Clara Corta, Johnstown; Sister Emmalita Chuba, Chicago, Ill.; and Margaret Charbo, Ebensburg. Longtime resident of Johnstown. Retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp. with 40 years service. Member of United Steel Workers, various area sportsmen's clubs and St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Somerset. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, Somerset, where a wake service will be held at 3:45 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter's at 10 a.m. Thursday, Monsignor Samuel Tomaselli celebrant.
