Born Nov. 8, 1919 in Johnstown, son of the late Blaz and Anna (Milcic) Cindric. Preceded in death by his parents and sisters Elvera Cigich, Stephana Fishter, Anna Halapia and Louise Basista and an infant sister. Survived by his wife of 56 years, Phyllis (Cunningham) Cindric, son Blase B. Cindric, married to Mary Patricia (Madigan) and grandsons Blase Anthony and Brandon Thomas Cindric, all of Girard, Ohio. He was a graduate of Johnstown High School and Shippensburg University in 1945. He also pursued graduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh. He was a teacher in the Somerset Area School District with 39 years of experience and served as the Business Education Department coordinator for many years. He was the first wrestling coach at Somerset High School. Member of the NEA, PSEA, and PSAR. Member of St. Peter's Church in Somerset. He enjoyed all sports and was particularly fond of bowling and golf. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, Somerset. A vigil for the deceased will be held at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter's Church, Rev. Monsignor Samuel Tomaselli, celebrant.
