  CLAPPER
  
  Bertha H. Clapper, 98, Meyersdale, died Sept. 12, 1987, at Beals Personal
  Care Home, Meyersdale.  Born July 4, 1889, in Rockwood, daughter of the
  late Elias and Elizabeth Hershberger.  Preceded in death by husband, Jesse
  Earl Clapper.  Also preceded by three daughters, Florence Lucille Johnson,
  Madonna Sipple and Ruth Zorn, and an infant son, Kenneth.  Survived by
  these children: Earl G. Clapper, Meyersdale; Mrs. Elsie Saylor, Berlin; and
  Mrs. Anna Kress, Philadelphia; 19 grandchildren and numerous great-
  grandchildren.  A sister of Mrs. Grace Miller, Vineland, N.J.  Friends are
  being received at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale where services will be
  conducted at 2 p.m. Monday (today) with the Rev. Richard Hanley
  officiating.  Interment, Union Cemetery.
