Clapper, 75 of Meyersdale, died June 5, 2006 at Meyersdale Medical Center. Born May 26, 1931 in Salisbury. A daughter of the late Ernest and Helen (Loechel) Keim. Also preceded in death by two brothers: Billy and Jack Keim. Survived by her husband of 54 years, Earl G. "Stubby" Clapper; and two children: Thomas G. Clapper, and his wife Denise, Meyersdale; and Rebecca, wife of Randy Scott, Meyersdale. Three grandchildren: Kendra Clapper and her friend Mike Burke, NC; Kelsey Scott, Meyersdale; and Kalene Scott, Meyersdale. A sister of Mary Lou Kolb, Springs; and Patricia K. Beggs, Somerset. Also survived by a sister-in-law, Helen Keim, Somerset. Ester made a career in banking where she retired from the First Philson Bank in 1995. She had a true love for cooking and collecting cook books. She enjoyed helping with the Quilt Show at the PA Maple Festival. Esther was the Maple Princess for Salisbury in 1949. A graduate of Salisbury High School class of 1949, and Grace Martin School of Business in 1961. She truly enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Friends were received 2-4 and 7-9 PM Tuesday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where service was conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, with Rev. Robert Stahl officiating. Interment Meyersdale Area Union Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Meyersdale Medical Center in Esther's name. Arrangements by the William Rowe Price Funeral Home, Inc., Meyersdale.
