(Carbaugh) Clapper, 87, Laurel View Village, Davidsville, formerly of Windber, died Sept. 22, 2004, at Windber Medical Center. Born Jan. 18, 1917, in Huntingdon County, daughter of the late James and Mary (Dorman) Carbaugh. Preceded in death by husband of 56 years, Charles S. Clapper, who died Oct. 24, 1999. Also preceded in death by sisters Ada Shontz and Dorothy Baker; brothers Miles, Clyde, Blair and Charles Carbaugh. Survived by son, Samuel D. Clapper, married to the former Fern Snyder, Somerset; daughter, Susan R. Costantino, wife of Nicholas Costantino, Windber; grandchildren: Angie, Gina and Abby Costantino and Nick Costantino Jr., Mike Clapper, married to the former Lauri Manlove, Waxhaw, N.C., Mark Clapper, married to the former Michelle Messersmith, Elizabethtown and Lisa (Clapper) McGuire, wife of Scott McGuire, Friedens, great-grandchildren: Rachel and Miriam Clapper, Waxhaw, N.C. and Morgan McGuire, Friedens. Sister of Carrie Croyle, wife of Joseph Croyle, Imler. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Graduate of J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, office clerk for nearly a quarter of a century for Paint Township Tax Collectors, J. Dean Lehman and Florence Lehman. Member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rummel, where she was financial secretary for more than 30 years. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the William Kisiel Funeral Home, Windber. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rummel with viewing one half hour prior to service. The Rev. Eric Alm and the Rev. Wes Yoder, officiating. Interment St. Paul's United Church of Christ Cemetery, Russellville.
