Ave., E. Moline, Ill., formerly of Boswell, died unexpectedly Jan. 15, 1995, in Illinois. Born July 2, 1915, in Jersey Shore, son of William H. and Isabella (Lupton) Clark. Preceded in death by parents; first wife, the former Maxine C. Reitz, on June 21, 1982; infant daughters, Maxine and Miriam; daughter, Rebecca Rae; son, G. Allan; and one brother. Survived by wife, the former Hope Friedline, and children, Judith, wife of Donald Replogle, Everett RD; and Rev. David W., married to former Tara Reighard, Biglerville; grandchildren: Kathy (Replogle) Weschler, Charles Replogle, and Christy and Nathan Clark; and great-grandson, Joseph Weschler. Brother of Rev. Robert R., Middletown. A 1938 graduate of Susquehanna University and a 1941 graduate of Gettysburg Lutheran Seminary. Ordained in 1941 in the United Lutheran Church in America. Pastored for 54 years, serving parishes in Karthus and Keywaydin (Clearfield County); Jerome-Boswell, Paradise (Thomasville); Shiloh (York); and St. Paul's, Mundys Corner. Retired in 1980 and served as vice pastor of Williamson-Upton (Pa.) parish. Later was a visitation pastor with his son in Waynesboro. Most recently, was emeritus pastor at Holy Spirit Church, East Moline. His hobbies and interests included fishing and music, having played the cornet, piano and organ. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday in St. Andrew's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Boswell, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday. Bishop Gregory R. Pile and Pastors Clarence C. Moore and Michael H. Tamorria officiating. Interment, Maple Spring Cemetery near Jerome. Memorials to Holy Spirit Church, East Moline, would be appreciated.
