(Bud) Clark, 69, of Berlin, died Jan. 29, 2000, at Somerset Hospital after a long and disabling illness. Born Feb. 20, 1930, in Edenborn, son of Carl F. and Hazel M. (Bittner) Clark. Preceded in death by parents and brother Ralph. Survived by wife of 48 years, Carolyn B. (Hoffer) Clark; and these children: Sue, married to Dan Gindlesperger, Carl, married to the former Ellie Hawkins, Clinton, married to the former Ruthanne Platt, and Nancy, married to Michael Hutchinson, all of Berlin. Also survived by 11 grandchildren: Daryl and Steve Gindlesperger, Jason and Christopher Clark, Jimmy Coughenour, Christy (Coughenour), married to Skippy Bryner III, Tyler and Alex Clark Stephanie, Joey and Joshua Hutchinson; and great-granddaughter Cassidy Bryner. Brother of Doris, married to Bob Yekel, of Bolivar, Ohio, Norma Jean Durst of Allison, sister-in-law Charlotte Clark of Bradenton, Fla., and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Berlin, and the Berlin Volunteer Fire Department. Past member of New Baltimore Sportsman Club, the Masons in Ohio and the Berlin Lions Club. Past assistant chief housing inspector with the City of Cleveland, Ohio, and past president of North American Protective Services Inc., which did detective, security guard and surveillance work in Cleveland and Berlin. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today (Monday) and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where a service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Ralph Landis and the Rev. Melvin A. Kirk Jr. officiating. Interment, IOOF Cemetery, Berlin. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the National Stroke Association, 848 E.
