He was thrown against the wall of the cellar, suffering a fracture of the skull which caused his death about four hours after the accident. Mr. Claycomb had gone to the cellar to make repairs to the water heating system when it is believed a lighted match exploded an accumulation of escaping gas. Meyersdale Republican, July 3, 1930
