Claycomb, 84, formerly of Somerset RD 7, died Nov. 10, 1989, at Mountain View Nursing Center, Greensburg. Born April 26, 1905, in Geiger, son of the late Benjamin C. and Margaret E. (Ross) Claycomb. Also preceded in death by three sisters. Survived by wife of 63 years, the former Gladys Chamberlain, and these children: Mrs. Cora L. Rayman, Des Moines, Iowa; Mrs. Betty J. Pile, Somerset; William R., Montrose, Calif.; Clifford M., Des Moines, Iowa; Mrs. Margaret Bryan Bowman, Somerset RD 7, David A., Cleveland, Ohio. Also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Brother of Melvin R., Somerset RD 2; Galen, Medina, Ohio; Miss Elta R. Claycomb, Somerset. Member of Christ Casebeer Lutheran Church. Veteran of World War II and a retired miner. Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. and from 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home.
