Clements, 74, a prominent Garrett merchant, died at 7 o'clock last Thursday evening at his home in Garrett after an illness of seven weeks. He served as Justice of the Peace in Garrett for many years and was a resident of Garrett for the past 47 years. In addition to his wife, Mrs. Mary E. Clements, he leaves a son, William C., Homestead Park; a stepdaughter, Miss Margaret Carney, Garrett; two grandchildren and two sisters - Mrs. Lillian Kirkwood, Clingswood, N.J., and Mrs. Ward Walb, Tampa, Fla. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in St. Michael's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rev. Edward Stahl officiating. Interment was in the Garrett cemetery.
