Clevenger, 59, of Markleton RD 1, died Nov. 22, 1995, in Upper Turkeyfoot Township. He was born Nov. 19, 1936, in Upper Turkeyfoot Township, a son of the late Lawrence and Marie (Tressler) Clevenger. Formerly married to Goldie Elaine Basinger for 33 years. Survived by these children: Jeffrey P. Clevenger of Ursina; Bill Basinger of Confluence, Paula Burnsworth of Somerset, Lori McCarty, Jody Clevenger and Josh Clevenger, all of Confluence. Eight grandchildren: Janelle, Jared, Justin, Taylor, Michael, Megan, Jeremy and Levi; three sisters: Phyllis Clevenger of Confluence; Frances Nicklow and Arlene Clevenger, both of Markleton; and a brother, Douglas Clevenger of Markleton. He was preceded in death by a brother, Albert. Member of the Cornhuskers Bluegrass Band, the Old-time Fiddler's Association, Confluence VFW Post 7250, and Carpenter's Local 2274 of Pittsburgh. Public visitation beginning Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence, where services will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Vernon Witt officiating.
