Born Nov. 16, 1935, in Dunbar, a daughter of the late John and Wanda (Solak) Walchesky. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Clites Jr.; and one brother, Edward Walchesky. Survivors include her three children, Greg Clites and wife, Lynda "Sue," Meyersdale; Cynthia Clark and husband, James Clark Jr., Barton, Md.; and Charlene Moon and husband, Jay, Finzel, Md.; one brother, Larry Walchesky and wife, Stella, Everson; three sisters, Vickie Fry, Seattle, Wash.; Bernadette Lewandowski and husband, Leonard, Scottdale; and Andrea Corsillo and husband, Paul, Alexandria, Va.; and 11 grandchildren. Mrs. Clites had been employed by the Allegany County Board of Education for 28 years. She had worked in the cafeterias of West Side Elementary, Parkside Elementary and Braddock Middle School. Mrs. Clites was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She was active in church events, including being a volunteer at St. Anthony's Place. She also belonged to the YMCA Senior Citizens Walking Group. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., 202 Greene St., Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. James Kurtz, OFM, Cap, celebrant. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
