Born May 10, 1923, in Buffalo Mills, a son of the late Artie May McCreary and a stepson of Charles McCreary of Manns Choice RD 1. Survived by his wife, Ruth M. (Browning) Clites; one stepson, Elmer L. Hordubay Sr., W.Va.; five brothers: Virgil Tomlinson, North Huntingdon; Grant Tomlinson, Manns Choice RD 1; Marvin Tomlinson, Central City; Darrel Tomlinson, Windber; and Lloyd Martin, Buffalo Mills RD 1; one sister, Myrtle Whitehead, Verona, Pa.; seven step-grandchildren and 16 step-great-grandchildren. Mr. Clites was employed as a salesman for the Blackburn-Russell Co. of Bedford for 35 years. Veteran of World War II, member of the Oscar Jordan VFW Post #7375 of Hyndman, member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 245 of Cumberland. Funeral services held Friday at 1 p.m. at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, with the Rev. Charles F. Rhodes officiating. Interment, Mt. Zion Cemetery.
