   Donald G. Cober Sr., 79, Berlin, died December 1, 2006, at home. Born
  November 28, 1927, in Brothersvalley Township, son of Ira J. and Maude (Gnagey)
  Cober. Preceded in death by parents; first wife, the former Jean E. (Betty)
  Landis, and brother, Robert Cober. Survived by his wife, the former Eleanor
  (Housel) Fogle; brother, Harold Cober, Berlin; children: Debra Fogle, Bethel
  Park; and Donald G. Jr., married to the former Janet Fogle, Berlin;
  stepchildren: Donald Fogle and wife Carole; Tim Fogle; and Esther, married to
  Tim Smith, all of Garrett; grandchildren: Donald III and Melissa Cober; step
  grandchildren: Holli Merrill, Jesse, David James Jr., and Jeremy Decker, Doni,
  married to Bob Miller; and Bill Fogle; and step great-grandchildren: Michael
  Merrill and Croix Miller. Graduate of Berlin Brothersvalley High School and a
  Korean War Army Veteran. He was a third generation dairy farmer. Lifelong
  member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Berlin, where he had served on the
  council, and as money manager of the endowment fund. He served on the Berlin
  Cemetery Association Board for 25 years, many as vice president. He was a Dairy
  of Distinction award winner, and received the Hillcrest Grange Man of the Soil
  Award. He also enjoyed traveling and woodworking. Family received friends from
  2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, and from 10 a.m.
  until service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Berlin. Rev.
  Dr. John W. Harmon officiating. Interment, Berlin I00F Cemetery. In lieu of
  flowers, contributions may be given to \'93In Touch\'94 Hospice, 223 S.
  Pleasant Ave., Somerset, PA 15501, or Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Berlin, PA
