A. A. Cober, pastor of the First Baptist Church, of Jeannette, Pa., died suddenly at her home in that town at 4:45 a.m., Aug. 1, 1932. Her death was brought about by an attack of accute indigestion with which she became afflicted about eight days before she died. The indigestion brought about a bad condition of the heart, which caused her much intense suffering for several days, but last Saturday her condition showed a marked improvement, which continued until Sunday afternoon, when it again became alarming, and so remained until she died. Deceased was born at Mechanicsburg, Lancaster County, Pa., 67 years ago. In her young womanhood she was united in marriage with the Rev. A. A. Cober, who long has been a prominent minister of the Baptist denomination. She was a woman of education and refinement, a great help to her husband in his ministerial work, and helped him nobly in various fields of labor, including missionary work in Purto Rico. She was extremely popular in all of the places her husband held pastorates, and was prominent in all such organizations as made for civic betterment, temperance, and the building up of Christ's kingdom on earth. Her death came at a time when she and her husband were making preparations to leave Jeannette, much to that town's regret, and take up their abode with a son in Rochester, N.Y. Left to mourn her departure are her husband and the following named children: Mrs. F. F. Rockwell, of Lewisburg, Pa.; J. D. Cober, of Huntington, W.Va.; Rev. R. Larue Cober, of Rochester, N.Y., and Rev. Kenneth I. Cober, of Canandaigua, N.Y. The funeral service was held at the First Baptist Church, Jeannette, Tuesday evening, the 2nd inst., at 7:30 o'clock. Interment was made the following day at Lewisburg, the early home of Rev. and Mrs. Cober. The Rev. Mr. Cober is a brother of Mrs. William H. Baldwin, of Meyersdale, where he and his beloved wife were known and held in high esteem. Meyersdale Republican, August 4, 1932
