Born Aug. 26, 1902, in Madison, son of the late Eli C. and Annie Maria Cochenour. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Adeline (Wiley) Cochenour, who died in 1983; four brothers: Daniel, William, Eli and David; three sisters: Alice Trout, Sara Thomas and Mary Elizabeth Cochenour. Survived by son, Wiley Cochenour, Rockwood RD 2; three daughters: Mrs. William (Shirley) Knight, Fort Meyers, Fla.; Mrs. Arthur (Lois) Ackerman, McKeesport; and Mrs. Steve (Emily) Becka, Bedford, Tex.; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a coal miner for the Pittsburgh Coal Company. He was also a farmer. Member of the Mars Hill Baptist Church in Sewickley, United Mine Workers of America and the Appalachian Wagon Trail Association. Friends will be received at the Beatty-Rich Funeral Home Inc., Route 136, Madison, Westmoreland County, Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Services at the funeral home Tuesday at 1 p.m., with the Rev.
