Cochran, husband of Elizabeth R. Cochran, died at his home in Ursina on Wednesday, April 16, at the age of 79 years, 9 months and 10 days, having been born July 6, 1850, in Indiana County, Pa. He is survived by his wife and eight children. The surviving children are: John H. Cochran, Greene County; Harry Cochrane, Coleman, Pa.; Vernon Cochran, address unknown; Mrs. Helen Holt, Dumas; Mrs. Mary Walls, Johnstown; Mrs. Anne Burke, Phoenix, Arizona; Mrs. Grace Havner, Friendsville, Md., and Mrs. Alice Foster, Cleveland, Ohio. He is also survived by 47 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. Mr. Cochran was a loving husband and father and his death is mourned by a large circle of friends. The funeral was held at the family home at Ursina on the forenoon of Friday, April 18. Rev. J. H. Bush officiated. The pallbearers were grandsons of the deceased. Interment in Addison Cemetery. Undertaker C. B. Humbert of Confluence had charge of the funeral arrangements. Meyersdale Republican, April 24, 1930
