Cochrane, 87, formerly of Salisbury, died Jan. 13, 1976, in the Butler Hospital. He was born Feb. 21, 1888, in Salisbury, a son of the late William and Ida (Fogle) Cochrane. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Irene Thomas. He is survived by one son, Thomas of Ellwood City; and five daughters: Mrs. Frances Prosser of Six Mile Run; Mrs. Ida Belle Carter of Beaumont, Texas; Mrs. Genevieve Burdge or Fayetteville, N.C.; Mrs. Esther Morell of Doylestown, Ohio; and Mrs. Lena Lewis of Martinsburg; also one brother, Adam, of Girard; and two sisters, Mrs. Emma Younkin, Akron, Ohio; and Mrs. LaVerne Carter of Arizona; 28 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Services were held Jan. 16 at the Thomas Funeral Home in Salisbury. Interment in the Salisbury Cemetery. Meyersdale Republic, January 22, 1976 [C0615]
