Born Aug. 16, 1930, in Somerset, the son of the late Clarence and Magdalene (Yoder) Coddington. Also preceded in death by his wife, Emily Coddington; daughters, SarahAnn Coddington and Kathleen "Klink" Coddington; and a brother, Maurice Coddington. Survived by children, William Coddington and wife, Robin, Boswell; Linda Currence, Somerset; Theda Smith and partner, Charles Adams, Confluence; Edward Coddington and wife, Wilma, Friedens; Delbert Coddington and friend, Darlene Gary, Friedens; and Rex Coddington and fiancˇ, Tammy Kearns, Sipesville. Also survived by 31 grand-children, 58 great-grandchildren and one great- great-grandchild. Brother of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Coddington, Somerset; Mr. and Mrs. Freeman Coddington, Friedens; Ray Coddington, Somerset; Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Coddington, Friedens; Mr. and Mrs. Jay Coddington, Boswell; and Kay Fritz, Somerset. Member of Calvary United Methodist Church, American Saddle Horse Association and the Meyersdale Fair Association. He started and founded the Somerset Saddle Club and the 4-H of Somerset. Retired employee of Somerset Foundry. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Calvary United Methodist Church. The Rev. Raymond Lyon officiating. Interment in Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Glencoe. Donations may be made to the family, c/o Edward Coddington, 107 Delano Court Road, Friedens, PA 15541.
