She was born Aug. 25, 1931 in Rockwood, the daughter of the late Amos B. and Ostie M. Vough Heinbaugh. She was also preceded in death by her brother Dale W. Heinbaugh and sister Althea E. Heinbaugh. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Harold W. Colbert, her son Kim W. Colbert and his fiancee Joan Grimm and daughter Sarah; her daughter Sue Ellen Martin and husband Mark, step-granddaughters, Christine Bazylak and husband Brian, Celena Martin and Jason; a sister Betty J. Hall and Sam; a special niece, Gayle Dillinger; great-niece Amy and great-nephew Greg. Also extended family and many dear friends. Shirley was a caring, devoted wife, mother and sister. She will be sadly missed by her family. Shirley attended Rockwood High School and graduated from Waynesburg High School. She was a homemaker, a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Johanna Circle, North Union VFW #8543 Auxiliary, American Legion Post 51 Auxiliary, AMVETS Post 88Greensburgh and was formerly with Post 103 Hopwood. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today, from 2 until 4 p.m. Wednesday, and until 11 a.m. the hour of service Thursday in the Andrew D. Ferguson Funeral Home Inc., 90 Morgantown St., Uniontown, Rev. H. Melvin Shultz officiating. Interment will follow in the Sylvan Heights Cemetery. Daily American, August 15, 2000 [C0651]
