Coleman, 61, Somerset RD 1, died March 28, 1998, in his home. Born March 21, 1937 in Lincoln Township, Somerset County, son of the late Oscar and Mildred (Griffith) Coleman. Survived by his wife, Ruth (Ash) Coleman; one daughter, Kimberly Sutton, Somerset; two grandsons, Paul and Blake; and these brothers and sisters, Edward, Ligonier; Ruth Acker, Terre Haute, Ind.; Hazel Benscoter, Temple City, Calif.; Nancy Clark, Kresgeville, Pa.; David, Greensburg; James, Washington, Pa.; Robert, Hagerstown, Md.; William, New Brighton; and Janet, Jennerstown. Employed at Lincoln Supply and Equipment Co., Somerset. Member Trinity Lutheran Church, Somerset. Veteran of the U.S. Army. Death ended a marriage union of 41 years. Friends will be received from 7-9 Monday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Tuesday, in Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home. Funeral service at 1 p.m., Wednesday, at Trinity Lutheran Church. Pastor Robert L. Hoover Jr. officiating. Interment Somerset County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Somerset Educational Foundations, c/o Somerset Senior High School.
