Coleman, 91, of Hooversville, died Jan. 8, 1976 at the Siemon Nursing Home, Somerset. Born Jan. 6, 1885 at Coleman Station, Somerset County, son of the late George and Catherine (Baldwin) Coleman. Preceded in death by brothers, Ross and Ben, and a sister Mrs. Bessie Mostoller. Survived by his widow, the former Rebecca C. Gindlesperger and the following children: Kenneth F., Joseph Johns Towers, Johnstown; Edwin E., Mrs. Carl (Elizabeth) Lohr and Ronald B., all of Hooversville; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. The death ended a marriage union of 68 years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Hooversville, where he served on the church council and was treasurer for many years. He was in the grocery business for 25 years and operated various coal mines in the area until his retirement in 1952. He was a charter member of the Hooversville Lions Club, having served as treasurer for 15 years. He also served for 30 years as director of the Community National Bank of Hooversville. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Thomas P. Read Funeral Home, Hooversville. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Trinity Lutheran with the Rev.
