Colflesh, 77, of Ambridge, Pa., died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2000, in Sewickley Valley Hospital. Born Nov. 9, 1923, in Berkley's Mills, he was a son of the late Floyd Colflesh, stepfather Rev. Herbert Knox and mother Anna Knox. He was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Denzil Hare. Earl is survived by his wife, Hilda Hartge Colflesh of Ambridge; four sisters: Gladys and Roy Brant and Shirley Hare, all of Meyersdale; and Minnie and Harold Bittinger and Mary and Dalton Hare, all of Grantsville, Md.; two sisters-in-law: Emma Hartman of Meyersdale and Edeth and Bernie Cramer of Latrobe; two brothers-in-law: Dale and [?]eta Hartge and Albert and Mary Jane Hartge, all of Baden; and many nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Ambridge United Presbyterian Church and a retired punch operator with the American Bridge Company. He was married to his wife Hilda for 50 years. Friends were received in the Matter Tatalovich Funeral Home Dec. 4, with a funeral service held Dec. 5 in the Ambridge United Presbyterian Church. Interment, Mt. Lebanon Church Cemetery, Southampton.
