Born in Salisbury, he was a son of the late William and Mary (Gress) Colflesh. Surviving are his widow, Edith (Hampe) Colflesh; four sons, Homer Colflesh Jr., Rockwood; Daniel Colflesh, Somerset; Thomas Colflesh, Waynesboro, and Russell Colflesh, Friedens; 11 daughters, Mrs. Mary Yoder, Miss Joann Colflesh, Grantsville; Mrs. Florence Sutton, Mrs. Judy Short, Salisbury; Mrs. Yvonne Laffinger, Cincinnatti, Ohio; Mrs. Bertha Shultz, Meyersdale; Mrs. Joan Summers, Waynesboro; Mrs. Dorothy Sharp, Salt Lake City, Utah; Mrs. Loretta Byrnes, Frederick, Md.; Mrs. Connie Trenton, Mrs. Molly Swank, Friedens; three brothers, Charles Colflesh, Berlin; Robert Chippeaux. Tampa, Fla., and William Steinrich, Salisbury; three sisters, Mrs. Alice Whollery, Mather; Mrs. Mabel Piatt, Crucible; and Mrs. Ruth Myers, Greensburg; 36 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at Price Funeral Home with Rev. Nelson Leaman, Rev. Elam Bender and Rev. Ivan Maust officiating. Interment, Patty Town Cemetery, Confluence RD.
