Colflesh, Mrs. John

  Mrs. John Colflesh, a highly respected lady of Lower Turkeyfoot Township, near 
Ursina, passed away so calmly and quietly into the Great Beyond, October 11th. 
She closed her eyes upon the earthly things with confidence that she would open 
them on the glories of Heaven. The funeral services were held at the residence 
October 13th, by Rev. G. W. Ringer, a former pastor, assisted by Rev. Sellers, 
and Rev. Walters. Interment was in the old family cemetery at Paddytown. Mrs. 
Colflesh was a daughter of Harmon and Susan Younkin, Upper Turkeyfoot Township, 
born August 11th, 1859, and is survived by her husband, children, one sister and 
two brothers, Charles Russel, Milton Bruce, Myrtle, Ella, Roy, Mellie, Mary and 
Mable at home, Mrs. John Rodaheaver, of Harnedsville, Pa. and Dr. J. H. 
Colflesh, Confluence, John F. Younkin, Upper Turkeyfoot Township, M. B. Younkin, 
of Black Township, near Rockwood. She has been a member of the old Bethel 
Methodist Episcopal Church at Paddytown, since her early youth. Her falling 
asleep has removed from the midst of her family a devoted wife, a loving mother 
and her influence remains as an inspiration to those who knew and loved her; as 
her hopes were bright those left behind feel that they have only parted with her 
temporally and to meet her again, where the sun never sets and the leaves never 
fade.
