His death was the result of back injuries sustained September 2, 1946. His age was 25 years, 10 months and 24 days. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Colflesh of Harnedsville. He served three years in the U.S. Army with the 80th Division, including one year overseas duty in Gen. Patton's Third Army in Europe. Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife, Frances (Hartman) Colflesh. One child preceded him in death. The following brothers and sisters also survive: Mrs. Jonas Bittner of Friendsville, Md.; Mrs. Allen Fike and Mrs. Mahlon Tressler, Confluence; Earl Elroy, Detroit, Mich.; Joseph Harmon, U. S. Navy, Chattanooga, Tenn.; Robert and Terry at home. Funeral services were conducted July 8, at the Humbert Funeral Home by Rev. Hitchcock. Interment was made in the Paddytown Cemetery, where services were conducted by Old Trail Post of V.F.W., Addison. Meyersdale Republican, July 17, 1947
