  Dennis G. Collins Sr., 48, Central City, died April 22, 2006, at home. Born
  July 25, 1957, in Somerset, a son of Joseph and Shirley Jane (Cable) Collins.
  Preceded in death by parents, brothers Joseph Jr., Dave and Harold, sisters,
  Nancy Mains and Betty Nancarvis. Survived by children, Dennis Jr., Somerset,
  Mike, Stoystown and Mel (Melanie), Friedens. Also survived by brothers, Robert
  (Pat) Collins, Richard (Naomi) Collins and Gary (Dian) Collins, all of Central
  City; sisters, Kitty Kralik, Central City, Debbie (Pat) Nancarvis, Acosta,
  Beverly (Rick) Layton, Somerset, and Christine Collins, Acosta; and numerous
  nieces and nephews. Dennis enjoyed traveling, the outdoors, conversation and
  meeting new people. He worked more than 20 years as an equipment operator with
  various coal companies. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
  Tuesday at the Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where services will be held at 11
  a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. James A. McCormick Jr. officiating. Interment in Glade
  Cemetery.
