Collins, 87, of Meyersdale, died June 4, 1994, Meyersdale Community Hospital. Born April 28, 1907, in Pittsburgh. A daughter of the late Leigh R. and Edna (Hough) Collins. Also preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy. Survived by her sister, Leah Collins, Meyersdale. Also a number of cousins. A retired teacher, having taught in Farrell, Hooversville, Pleasantville, N.J., and Camden, N.J. schools. She received her bachelor's degree from Indiana State Teachers College and a master's degree from the University of Pittsburgh. She also attended Duke University, Penn State, and Carnegie Tech. She was an assistant librarian at the Meyersdale Public Library for many years. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale. A private burial will be Tuesday at the Union Cemetery, Meyersdale, with Pastor Randall J. Marburger officiating. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 12, at Zion Lutheran Church, Meyersdale.
