  COLLINS
  
  Joseph G. Collins, Jr., 52, of Cairnbrook, died March 20, 1999, at
  Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.  Born Sept. 21, 1946, in Johnstown,
  son of Joseph G. Sr. and Shirley (Cable) Collins.  Preceded in death by
  parents; sisters, Nancy Mains and Betty Nancarvis; and infant brother. 
  Survived by his wife of 27 years, the former Sharon Birch, and these
  children: Connie (Beattie) West, John, Timothy, Hyla and Edwin Collins and
  Clay Carroll; and these children still at home: James, Amanda and Tyler
  Collins; also grandchildren: Henry, Levi, J.J., Tiffany, Shyla, Ryan and
  Vanessa.  He was a brother of Robert and Richard, both of Central City;
  David and Gary, both of Cairnbrook; Catherine Kralik and Dennis, both of
  Stoystown; Debbie Hartman and Christine, both of Acosta; and Beverly Layton
  of Somerset.  Also survived by several foster children with whom he shared
  his life and was loved by many nieces and nephews.  He was employed by
  Church of the Brethren Home in Scalp Level.  Family will receive friends
  from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Deaner Funeral Home in Stoystown.  Service
  will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday. Rev. James A. McCormick Jr.
  officiating.  Interment Glade Cemetery.
