Md. She was born in Garrett, May 19, 1905, and was the daughter of the late Gilbert E. and Emma F. (Appel) Haenftling. Her husband, Russel J. Collins, preceded her in death. She was a member of the Senior Citizens. She is survived by four sons, Marvin A. Collins, James R. Collins, Ronald N. Collins and George H. Collins, all of Cumberland, Md.; three daughters, Mrs. Betty Kesner, Mrs. Wilma Long and Mrs. June Merica, all of Cumberland, Md.; two brothers, Robert Haenftling, Mount Airy, and Ralph Haenftling, Cumberland, Md.; three sisters, Mrs. Augusta Durbin, Mrs. Gladys Poland and Mrs. Frances Bergman, all of Cumberland, Md.; 17 grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. Services were conducted at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, the Rev. Arthur Vespa officiating. Interment was in the Mount Herman Cemetery. Pallbearers were Carroll Silvious, William Brown, Brian Thorpe, James Welsh, Patrick Bridges, Douglas Durbin and Douglas Buser. The Republic, October 1, 1981 [C0760]
